I came across this quote some time back, and thought how powerful these words were. While some of us may have fond memories, there are some who do not have fond memories at all. It may be filled with memories of pain, hurt, anger, shame and perhaps guilt. Whilst we can't change the past, we can try to make sense of the past and work towards a better future.
Our lives are meant to be meaningful and purposeful, free and light. Even if the journey is challenging, it can be a fulfilling one. It is about being kinder, more understanding and compassionate towards self and others - and it is a life long journey.
